SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT POLICY
 

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University adopts and implements the following policy in accordance with its mission, vision, and strategies.

The development and implementation of appropriate procurement strategies and procedures is to be encouraged.

The principles of environmental, social, and economic sustainability are to be adopted in all procurement processes.

The preference is to be given to products that are environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and recyclable.

Engagement with suppliers that engage in ethical production and respect workers' rights is to be encouraged.

Local producers and enterprises that create social impact are to be prioritised.

The life cycle cost and environmental impacts of products are to be taken into account in purchasing decisions.

Regulatory and preventive actions that will improve procurement processes are to be undertaken and monitored.

It is the intention of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, through the implementation of this approach, to make a contribution to the conservation of natural resources and the enhancement of societal benefit, whilst promoting responsible consumption.
